PTA

Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

In 2026, Eastern Green Junior School welcomed a newly formed Parent Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA brings together parents, carers and staff who are committed to supporting the school community and enriching the experiences of our pupils.

The group works in partnership with the school to organise events and initiatives that benefit children and families while helping to strengthen the sense of community around the school.

Already this year, the PTA has organised a used uniform sale during parents’ evening, helping families access affordable school uniform while also promoting sustainability by encouraging the reuse of clothing.

Historically, our PTA has played an active role in school life by organising a range of extra-curricular events and community activities, helping to create memorable experiences for pupils and their families while also raising funds to support additional opportunities for children.

A strong partnership between school and families is an important part of a successful school community. Through the work of the PTA, parents are able to play an active role in supporting school life, strengthening relationships between home and school and helping to enhance the experiences available to pupils. This aligns closely with Ofsted’s expectations around community engagement, enrichment and the wider personal development of pupils.

The school’s PTA liaison is Miss Coventry, who works closely with the group to support events and communication between the PTA and the school.

Parents and carers who are interested in getting involved or finding out more about the PTA are encouraged to contact the school office via the admin team.
