Inclusion at Eastern Green Junior School

Inclusion at Eastern Green Junior School

At Eastern Green Junior School, inclusion sits at the heart of our school community. We are committed to ensuring that every child feels valued, supported and able to succeed.

We believe that all pupils, regardless of their starting points or additional needs, are entitled to high-quality teaching and a rich, engaging curriculum. Through strong quality-first teaching, adaptive practice and high expectations, we aim to ensure that every child can access learning and make meaningful progress.

We recognise that some children may require additional support at different points in their school journey. When this is the case, we work closely with parents, carers and external professionals to identify needs early and put appropriate support in place. Our approach focuses on removing barriers to learning so that pupils can participate fully in school life and achieve their potential academically, socially and emotionally.

Partnership with families is central to our inclusive ethos. We value open communication and collaborative working so that together we can secure the best outcomes for every child.

Further information about the four areas of Special Educational Needs outlined in the SEND Code of Practice and details of how we support pupils with SEND can be found in our SEND Policy and SEND Information Report.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s needs, please contact our SENCO, Mrs Albans, who will be happy to help.
