Welcome
Welcome to Eastern Green Junior School
At Eastern Green Junior School, we are committed to ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to thrive, both academically and personally. We believe that all pupils deserve a rich and ambitious education that helps them develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for the future.
Our school values of Respect, Ready and Safe sit at the heart of our community. They guide the way we learn, work and treat one another every day, helping to create a calm, positive and purposeful environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
We are passionate about developing a love of learning. Our curriculum is carefully designed to inspire curiosity and encourage children to think deeply, ask questions and take pride in their achievements. Through high expectations and engaging teaching, we support pupils in becoming articulate, resilient and confident learners who believe in their own potential.
At Eastern Green Junior School we aim for excellence not only in learning, but also in behaviour, attitudes and personal development. Our pupils are encouraged to show kindness, take responsibility and develop the independence that will help them succeed as they move on to secondary school and beyond.
We are proud of the warm and welcoming atmosphere that exists throughout the school. As a close-knit community, we ensure that every child is known, supported and encouraged to achieve their best. We recognise that children develop in different ways and at different rates, and our teaching is carefully adapted to meet individual needs while maintaining high expectations for all.
Children are encouraged to share their ideas, express their opinions and contribute positively to school life. By developing the habits and attitudes that support successful learning, we help pupils grow into thoughtful and responsible young people who are ready for the opportunities and challenges ahead.
Strong partnerships with families are central to the success of our school. We value the support of parents and carers and believe that working together enables children to achieve their very best. We encourage families to play an active role in school life and in supporting their child’s learning.
If you would like to see our school in action and learn more about the opportunities we offer, we warmly welcome visits. Please contact the school office to arrange a time to come and see what makes Eastern Green Junior School such a special place to learn.

Children's Welcome
Welcome to our school! We are a very happy school and we think you will definitely enjoy your time here. We always come to school looking smart which makes us ready to listen and learn.
To keep us safe and happy we have three school values: Ready, Respect and Safe. These are important because it helps everyone to enjoy their time in school.
On our playground we have gym equipment, ponds, fruit garden and gardens for quiet times. Lots of equipment and games are organised for us at lunchtimes, so we are always busy! We can do activities like tennis, skipping and basketball.
At our school there are lots of after school activities that children can take part in and enjoy such as: Lego, drama, football, netball, multi-sports, Quidditch, Spaghetti maths, choir and band (plus many more!). As well as many clubs, we also have the opportunity to go to many different competitions and tournaments to represent the school. Some of these include basketball, dodgeball, sports hall athletics and the library challenge.
During our time at Eastern Green we have the opportunity to have many different jobs such as House Captains, PE experts, ICT monitors, Eco-committee, Arts Council, ABAs and School Council.
We think the teachers are very kind, understanding and helpful. Every child enjoys their first day at Eastern Green to their last. We think that our school is the perfect place for children to have a super fun time and to get a fantastic education.
