School Clubs
School Clubs and Enrichment Opportunities
At Eastern Green Junior School we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. We are proud to offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and activities throughout the year which provide pupils with opportunities to develop new skills, explore their interests and build confidence.
Our clubs are designed to enrich the curriculum and allow pupils to experience activities that support both their personal development and wider learning. Through participation in clubs, pupils develop teamwork, resilience, creativity and independence while also discovering new talents and interests.
Throughout the year we offer a variety of clubs including:
-
Karate
-
Football
-
Netball
-
Dance
-
Lego club
-
Coding and computing clubs
-
Creative and craft clubs
-
and many more
These clubs provide opportunities for pupils to develop physical skills, creativity, problem solving and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.
A Rotating Programme of Clubs
Our clubs operate on a rotating basis across the year. This allows us to provide a wide range of opportunities so that pupils can experience different activities and interests during their time at Eastern Green Junior School.
By rotating clubs throughout the year, we are able to:
-
offer a broader range of activities
-
allow more pupils to participate in different clubs
-
ensure pupils experience a variety of opportunities across Key Stage 2
Information about current clubs is sent to parents and carers through the school office.
Signing Up for Clubs
Details about available clubs and how to sign up are shared through MCAS (My Child At School) and through letters available from the school office.
Places for clubs are limited, as this ensures that:
-
activities can be delivered safely
-
pupils receive appropriate supervision and support
-
the experience remains enjoyable and well organised for all participants
Once places are full, a waiting list may be created where possible.
Supporting Personal Development
Extra-curricular opportunities play an important role in helping pupils develop as confident and well-rounded individuals. Through clubs and activities, pupils are able to:
-
build friendships and social skills
-
develop confidence and resilience
-
explore new interests and talents
-
learn to work collaboratively with others
-
enjoy a wide range of experiences beyond the classroom
We are proud of the variety of opportunities available at Eastern Green Junior School and encourage all pupils to take part in the clubs and activities on offer.
