Science
Our aim in Science is to inspire and excite children to find out more about the world around them and understand how science impacts their lives - past, present and future.
Our Science curriculum aims to develop their scientific knowledge and understanding of biology, chemistry and physics through engaging topics, which encourage the children to be curious and inquisitive. Scientific enquiry skills are embedded in each topic allowing children to develop their skills of questioning, investigating, observing, recording and concluding.
At Eastern Green, the children will complete the following units:
During each unit, the children will be taught the National Curriculum objectives.
They will also be taught the working scientifically skills through a range of different enquiry types. We use DR CORPI to aid the children's understanding of each enquiry type.
